Acer palmatum dissectum 'Dissectum Nigrum'

Weeping "Dissectum Nigrum" Laceleaf Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

'Dissectum Nigrum' leafs out in the spring with a silver sheen to the new foliage. This develops into a showy deep maroon. As late spring to early summer progresses, the leaves turn to a bronze-red to green-red. Fall color is a bright scarlet red. 'Dissectum Nigrum' may reach 4-5 ft in height by 5-6 ft in width in 10 years. 'Dissectum Nigrum' has been confused with 'Ever Red' due to the similar spring color, however the two are different and even have different origins.

The large 15 gallon tree in the photo is not the 1 gallon for sale.
